Ensemble Topaz

Ensemble Topaz, founded in 2016 by Mike Anklewicz and dancer/choreographer Paromita Kar, is an integrated music and dance ensemble specializing in Central and South Asian cultural traditions.

Ensemble Topaz brings traditional and contemporary music and dance forms to life and are one of the only ensembles in North America to feature Afghan and Iranian music and dance together. Ensemble Topaz is the recipient of an Ontario Arts Council Recording Grant and are working on their first recording.

KlezFactor

Founded by Mike Anklewicz in 2004, KlezFactor has recorded three albums and performed around Canada, the USA and Europe.

KlezFactor presents a fusion of klezmer (Eastern European Jewish traditional music) with jazz, rock, Balkan and classical musical styles and compositional techniques.

KlezFactor’s music has been featured on television in Canada, Israel and the Czech Republic and has been heard on radio around the world.
